I was fortunate to have spent time with mu Gurus, learning music in the guru shishya tradition here in India. I really feel that anyone who is interested in learning any art form should be privileged to experience the same.
I have been actively involved in online teaching through Skype, as for the last ten years, I have been getting inquiries from people outside India, who wish to learn the techniques of Indian slide guitar and how to play Indian classical music on this instrument. I believe that it’s not as good as the traditional way of learning through a Guru Shishya Parampara, but it’s the best possible way available to learn if it’s long distance.
I now have more than 35 students across the world which includes USA, Australia, Middle east, South east Asia, Europe and UK.
Words from my Skype students
“I have been studying Mohan Veena slide guitar with Manish via Skype for four years. I find Manish to be a very patient, compassionate and understanding teacher. Being a teacher myself, I truly appreciate Manish’s attention to detail, his ability to break down complex musical ideas and his vast knowledge of raga and slide guitar technique. He is a wonderful teacher and highly recommended to anyone interested in Hindustani Slide Guitar.”

My experience studying was Manish has been incredible …He goes into such detail if required ..and plays in such beautiful patterns…varieties .I consider him to be 1 of the top 3 or 4 veena players alive…I love his playing style and his care with students ..His music abilities ,understanding and style and patience in teaching are so satisfying ..if anyone were to wish to study Indian slide guitar / veena I can feel quite sure in assuring them with dedication they will be so rewarded and fulfilled in their growth
J ai pris des cours de slide guitare indienne avec Manish par internet (skype).
Very good lessons which, of course, do not replace a face to face reality, but make it possible to have a good idea about what looks training of this instrument that Manish controls very nicely.
I am very happy with his teaching.
Manish is an extraordinary musician and teaches the Indian guitar superbly.
I regret only one thing…I have not still met him really and work with him this superb instrument!
